It appears as though Bradley Cooper’s heart is already on the mend after splitting from Zoe Saldana for the second time over the Christmas holidays, as he’s reportedly been in touch with Britney Spears via text message. Yes, the Britney Spears.
The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor (who was just recently nominated for a Golden Globe and is even getting Oscar buzz for his role as Pat Solitano) is said to have been exchanging text messages with the pop star as recently as New Year’s Eve.
This comes just as rumors have been running rampant that Spears is on the verge of splitting from fiance Jason Trawick. And according to In Touch, Britney’s closest friends & family worry her alleged rocky relationship with Trawick may send her on a downward spiral much like the one she went on five years ago.
We at GP can also exclusively reveal that Britney and Jason’s split is imminent – as in within the next week or so.
But it may not be romance brewing for Cooper and Spears. “With the way things are with Jason right now, she just needs a friend, and that’s what he [Bradley] has been to her just as she has been to him,” a source was quick to say. Bummer! We think they’d make a hot couple.
However, the pair are not strangers to each other. According to the folks over at ONTD!, Spears traveled to Las Vegas last November to film a top secret scene for the Hangover 3, which just so happens to star Cooper.
